Mode of Action of Megadol Bottle Of 60ml Syrup

How Does It Work?

Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen have pain relieving and fever reducing properties. They reduce inflammation and thereby lower fever, pain and joint pain.

Directions for Use of Megadol Bottle Of 60ml Syrup

Megadol Syrup is administered orally, after meals. Talk to your doctor if you are on other medicines and follow the doctor's instructions regarding dosage.

Interactions of Megadol Bottle Of 60ml Syrup

Interactions with other medicines

Ibuprofen may increase levels of lithium in the blood and must be avoided with lithium based medicines
Methotrexate and Megadol syrup may affect activity of each other
The antihypertensive effect of ACE-inhibitors may be diminished by ibuprofen
The protein binding effect of ibuprofen is reduced by aspirin
The natriuretic effect-of furosemide and thiazides is decreased by ibuprofen
Ibuprofen competitively reduces the methotrexate accumulation in kidneys
The metabolism of acetaminophen maybe altered by hepatic cytochrome enzyme CYP2E1 inducers. The liver toxicity may also be increased.
If you consume other medications, do mention it to your physician before administering Megadol Syrup.

Overdose

Overdose of Megadol Syrup may cause potentially fatal hepatic necrosis
