• For the management of nerve symptoms associated with diabetic neuropathy, as prescribed by a doctor.
• As supportive treatment where nerve symptoms are associated with vitamin B12, vitamin B6 or folate deficiency, if advised by a doctor.

• If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this capsule.
• Tell your doctor if you have been diagnosed with high levels of any of the vitamins or other ingredients in this product.
• If you have unexplained anaemia, seek medical assessment to establish the cause. Folic acid can improve some blood abnormalities while an underlying vitamin B12 deficiency remains untreated.

Other General Warnings

• You have another medical condition, such as high blood pressure, a kidney or liver problem, or a nerve problem from another cause.
• You have diabetes, as your blood sugar may fall. Monitor it, and your doctor may adjust your diabetes medicines.
• You have unexplained anaemia or a suspected vitamin B12 deficiency.
• You have a thyroid condition, as your treatment may need review.
• You take phenytoin or another anti-seizure medicine, or chloramphenicol.
• You take any other vitamin or nerve supplement, so you don't double up on the same vitamins.
• You drink alcohol regularly, as alcohol interferes with B vitamins and can itself damage nerves.
• You have surgery or a procedure planned, as you may be asked to stop supplements beforehand.
• Your numbness, tingling or pain is getting worse, or you notice a cut, blister, ulcer or colour change on your feet.

• Take Mecofol Plus NF capsule exactly as directed by your doctor.
• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not open or chew it.
• Take it at a fixed time each day so the level stays steady and it is easy to remember.
• You can take it with or without food. Taking it with food may help if it upsets your stomach.
• Keep taking it for as long as your doctor advises. Do not stop because symptoms have eased.

• Store Mecofol Plus NF capsule in a clean, dry place, protected from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat.
• Keep it in the original strip until you take it.
• Keep it out of the sight and reach of children and pets.
• Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

• This supplement may support nerve health in diabetic neuropathy. It works alongside blood sugar control and other care recommended by your doctor.
• Take it as directed, and do not exceed the recommended amount. More is not better, and too much vitamin B6 over time can itself affect nerves.
• A supplement fills a gap. It does not replace a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
• Check your blood sugar as usual. Alpha-lipoic acid can lower blood glucose, so tell your doctor if your readings drop.
• Check your feet daily for cuts, blisters, or colour changes. Reduced sensation means an injury can go unnoticed until it becomes serious.
• Stopping smoking may help reduce the risk of further nerve and blood vessel damage.
• Regular activity improves blood sugar control and circulation. Ask your doctor what is suitable before you start.
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding before you start.

• Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12) is used in the functioning of the brain and nerves, in the production of red blood cells, and in DNA synthesis. It rejuvenates damaged nerve cells and supports the functioning of the nervous and immune systems. A deficiency of vitamin B12 can cause neurological problems.
• Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) is used in immune function and other metabolic reactions. Adequate supply is a must for nerve function, bone formation, and regeneration.
• Alpha-lipoic acid increases glutathione (GSH) levels in diabetic patients, a potent antioxidant that helps reduce oxidative stress and ensure adequate blood supply to nerve cells. It is used to control diabetes and its nerve-related symptoms, such as pain or numbness in the arms and legs.
• Folic acid is a vitamin that plays a vital role in DNA synthesis and the synthesis of amino acids. It helps in normal blood formation. It is for cell division and the development of blood cells.
