Medical Description
Manforce 50 Tablet is a prescription medicine prescribed for erectile dysfunction (impotence) in men. This medication, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor, works by enhancing blood flow to the penis, which may help men achieve or sustain an erection.
You can take Manforce 50 Tablet on an empty stomach or with food, but always follow your doctor's instructions. Typically, it's advised to take the tablet approximately one hour before anticipated sexual activity.
It is important to note that Manforce 50 Tablet will only help you get an erection when you are sexually stimulated.
Common side effects of Manforce 50 Tablet can include flushing (a sensation of warmth), headache, dizziness, blurred vision, muscle pain, stomach upset, and rash. Manforce 50 Tablet is not for use by women. Men should also avoid combining it with other impotence medications without first consulting a doctor. Taking this medicine with nitrates, often prescribed for chest pain or angina, can be dangerous.
Do not take this medicine with nitrates (glyceryl trinitrate sprays and tablets, isosorbide mononitrate, and isosorbide dinitrate).
Get emergency help if an erection lasts longer than four hours. This is called priapism and can cause permanent damage if it is not treated quickly. Stop the medicine and get medical help straight away if you have sudden loss or reduction of vision, sudden hearing loss, or ringing in the ears.
If you experience dizziness as a side effect, avoid driving or operating machinery. It's also advisable to limit alcohol intake while on this medication.

Contraindications
- If you are allergic to sildenafil or any other ingredient in Manforce 50 Tablet.
- If you are taking medicine known to cause a vasodilator effect, such as amyl nitrate or nitrates.
- If you are taking riociguat, a medicine used to treat high blood pressure.
- If you have a known history of any heart problem, such as heart failure.
- If you have a known history of liver disorders, low blood pressure, stroke, or heart blockage.
- If you have a known history of eye problems like retinitis pigmentosa (a genetic disorder that may cause loss of vision).
- If you have previously had sudden loss of vision in one eye caused by reduced blood flow to the optic nerve.
- In women and anyone under 18 years of age.
Side effects
- Headache
- Flushing, a sensation of warmth in the face and neck
- Dizziness
- Blocked or runny nose
- Indigestion or an upset stomach
- Blurred or altered vision, including a blue tinge to colours
- Muscle pain and back pain
- Nausea
- Rash
- Fast or irregular heartbeat, or palpitations
- Low blood pressure, or feeling faint on standing
- Dry mouth, eye discomfort or bloodshot eyes
- Nosebleeds
- An erection lasting more than four hours, or a painful erection. This is called priapism. Do not wait to see whether it settles
- Sudden loss or reduction of vision in one or both eyes. Stop the medicine and get help immediately
- Sudden hearing loss, or ringing in the ears with dizziness. Stop the medicine and get help immediately
- Chest pain during or after sex. Tell the medical team you have taken sildenafil, and do not take a nitrate for it
- A severe allergic reaction, with swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing, a widespread rash, or collapse
- A fit or seizure, or fainting

- This medicine is not recommended for use in women.
- You take, or have recently taken, any nitrate medicine for chest pain, or any recreational nitrite.
- You have a stomach ulcer or a bleeding disorder.
- You have retinitis pigmentosa, or have previously had sudden vision loss in one eye.
- You have been advised against sexual activity because of a heart condition.

Storage and disposal
- Store this medicine in a cool and dry place, protected from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.
- Keep it away from children and pets.
- Discard any unused, expired medicine properly. Do not flush the medicine.
- Keep it in the original strip until you take it. Do not use it after the expiry date.
- Do not share this medicine with anyone else. It can be dangerous for someone taking a nitrate.
