Medical Description
Liofen 10 tablet is a muscle relaxant medicine commonly prescribed to manage muscle stiffness and tightness, also known as muscle spasticity. This condition often results from diseases or injuries that affect the brain or spinal cord. By reducing abnormal muscle contractions, the medicine helps improve flexibility, movement, and comfort, making daily activities easier for patients.
The active ingredient in Liofen 10 tablets is baclofen, which works by acting on the nerves in the spinal cord to relax the muscles. By calming overactive nerve signals, it reduces muscle spasms, pain, and stiffness. Other medicines with baclofen as the main ingredient include Liofen XL 10mg capsules, Bacloren 10mg tablets, Baclonol 10mg tablets and Riclofen 10mg tablets, all of which provide similar effects.
Liofen 10 tablet should always be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. The dosage and duration of treatment depend on your medical condition and response to therapy, and it should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop the medicine suddenly, as it may cause withdrawal symptoms such as hallucinations, confusion, or seizures.
Before starting treatment with Liofen 10 tablets, it is important to inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding. Also, please share details about your past medical history, including liver, kidney, or seizure disorders, as well as any other medications or supplements you are currently taking, to help prevent possible interactions or side effects.
Liofen 10 tablets are effective in improving muscle movement and reducing stiffness, but, like all medicines, they should be used under strict medical guidance. Following your doctor’s advice, maintaining regular follow-ups, and promptly reporting any unusual symptoms will ensure a safe and effective treatment.
