Ketonid B Cream contains a combination of two medicines - Ketoconazole and Beclomethasone dipropionate. It is used for the treatment of a wide variety of fungal skin infections. It is meant only for
external application and should be applied exactly as recommended by your doctor. You may experience some application site reactions as side effects, but they normally fade away with time. Please report to your doctor if you notice the side effects persists or worsen.

Uses
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to Ketoconazole, Beclomethasone or any of the ingredients in Ketonid B Cream.
- If you have chickenpox, shingles, warts or any other wounds or skin infections.
- If you have acne, an infection on the face, mouth, nail, scalp, private parts, etc.
- If you have any untreated skin infection or skin thinning problem

- You experience any allergic skin reactions after using Ketonid B Cream.
- You develop other infections or skin reactions after applying this Cream.
- You are applying this medicine on a cut or broken skin or on a larger skin area.
- You should avoid getting any Cream into your eyes, nose, mouth, open wounds, armpits, private parts. In case of such an exposure, you should wash the affected part thoroughly with water.
- You are also applying other topical medicines.
- You do not notice any improvement in your condition after applying this medicine for a week.
- Do not use Ketonid B Cream for any condition other than prescribed by the doctor.
- In case your eyes come in contact with this Cream, rinse your eyes with clean water immediately.
- Do not apply this medicine for a prolonged duration on a larger skin area or more than the prescribed duration.
- Do not stop using this Cream before you complete the treatment.

How Does It Work?
- Ketonid B Cream works by the combined action of its components - Ketoconazole and Beclomethasone dipropionate.
- Ketoconazole is an antifungal agent, it stops the growth of fungi by inhibiting the formation of a fungal cell wall component.
- Beclomethasone dipropionate is a steroid, which works by blocking the production of certain chemical substances in the body (prostaglandins) which cause itching, swelling and redness.

- Ketonid B Cream is meant for external use only.
- Use the Cream as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
- Read the instructions on the label or leaflet before use.
- Clean and dry the infected area well.
- Apply it on the affected skin surface free from cuts and wounds.
- Avoid touching the tip of the container directly to the infected area of the skin.
- Wash your hands before and after using Ketonid B Cream unless your hands are the area to be treated.
- In case your eyes come in contact with this Cream, rinse your eyes with clean water immediately.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Ketonid B Cream is applied externally on the skin; thus, it is less likely to interact with other medicines taken orally. However, it may interact with other topically applied medicines. Discuss with your doctor if you are already on another topical Cream....
- Ketonid B Cream should be used with caution along with ritonavir (used in HIV infection) and itraconazole (used to treat fungal infections), as it may increase the risk of having side effects.
