Uses of Ketafung 2 %W/W
- Fungal infections of the skin such as tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea manus and tinea pedis infections due to Trichophyton spp, Microsporon spp and Epidermophyton spp.
- Skin candidosis (including vulvitis), tinea (pityriasis) versicolor s
- Seborrhoeic dermatitis caused by Malassezia (previously called Pityrosporum) spp.
Contraindications of Ketafung 2 %W/W
- Allergy to any of the ingredients of Ketafung cream i.e. ketoconazole

- Burning sensation
- Pain
- Skin irritation
- Erythema (itching and redness)

Pregnancy

Can I apply Ketafung cream during pregnancy?
A:
In pregnant women treated with topical Ketafung cream, no well-controlled studies have been done. However, during pregnancy, Ketafung cream should only be used if advised by the doctor.
Breast Feeding

Can I apply Ketafung cream while breastfeeding?

There are no good studies in women to determine the harm to an infant if this medicine is used while breastfeeding. Follow the doctor's advice.
Driving

Mode of Action of Ketafung 2 %W/W
How Does It Work?
Ketafung cream is an antifungal that kills and stops the growth of the fungi by destroying its cell membrane, thereby treating your skin infection.
Directions for Use of Ketafung 2 %W/W
- Ketafung cream is solely for external use
- After gently washing with a mild cleanser and properly drying, apply Ketafung cream in a thin film over the entire affected region as per doctor's advice
- Hands should be cleansed after using the cream
- If extreme dryness or peeling occurs, application frequency should be reduced or discontinued
- Avoid over application to get quick results
Storage and disposal of Ketafung 2 %W/W
Store at a temperature of no more than 25° C.
Keep out of children's reach.
Keep away from excess moisture and direct sunlight
Dosage of Ketafung 2 %W/W
Overdose
- Excessive application may lead to redness, swelling and a burning sensation, which will disappear upon discontinuation of the treatment. Rush to a doctor
- Accidental swallowing may cause gastointestinal problems, supportive and symptomatic measures should be carried out. In such cases rush to a close by doctor.
Missed a Dose
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If the next dose is approaching, skip the missing dose. Use your next dose at the same time every day. To catch up, do not increase the dose....
