Directions for Use of Jakavi 5 MG
- You should take it as advised by your doctor
- Do not break, crush or chew the tablet
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
- Do not exceed the number of doses
Interactions of Jakavi 5 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Co-administration of ruxolitinib with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors results in an increase in area under curve(AUC) and Cmax of ruxolitinib by 33% and 91%
- Co-administration of dual CYP2C9 and CYP3A4 inhibitors results in an increase in ruxolitinib Cmax and AUC by 47% and 232%
- Rifampicin, when taken with ruxolitinib, lowers the AUC of ruxolitinib by 70% lower than after ruxolitinib monotherapy
- Erythromycin increases the Cmax and AUC by 8% and 27%
- Inhibition of P-glycoprotein and breast cancer resistance protein takes place in the intestine in the presence of ruxolitinib, leading to increased systemic exposure of substrates of these transporters...
