• If you are allergic to itraconazole, other similar medicines, or any other ingredient of Itranox Capsule.
• If you have liver problems or heart-related disorders like irregular heartbeats.
• If you are pregnant or planning for a baby.

• Headache

Other General Warnings

• You had or have liver or kidney disease, a heart disorder of irregular rhythm, abnormal electrolyte levels in the blood or adrenal dysfunction.
• You suffer from shortness of breath, unexpected weight gain, swollen legs or stomach, tired stop taking this medicine as there may be signs of heart failure.

• Swallow as a whole with a glass of water.
• Take with meals to gain optimal benefits. Take Itranox as prescribed by the doctor.

• Store at room temperature, away from excess heat and moisture.
• Keep it away from the reach of children and pets.

• Take the medicine exactly as directed by your doctor, with a sufficient amount of water.
• Use effective barrier methods of contraception during treatment and for at least two months after stopping the medicine.
• Avoid consuming alcohol, as it may worsen potential side effects like dizziness.
• Refrain from driving or using tools if you experience blurred vision, dizziness, or hearing loss.
• Immediately stop taking the medication and contact your doctor if you experience signs of heart failure, such as shortness of breath, unexpected weight gain, or swollen legs.
• Always provide a complete medical and surgical history to your healthcare provider, including all prescription and non-prescription medicines, supplements, and herbal preparations you are taking.

How Does It Work?

Interactions with other medicines

• Medicines used to reduce the acidity when used concomitantly with Itranox 200 capsule may interfere with the effect of this medicine. Their use together must be avoided. If the use of antacids is unavoidable, a gap of 1-2 hours must be allowed between the doses of these two medicines.
• Concomitant use of antibiotics such as isoniazid, rifabutin, and rifampicin, as well as medications like carbamazepine, antiviral medicines like efavirenz, and herbs like St. John's Wort, with Itranox 200 capsule should be avoided, as they may reduce the effectiveness of this medicine.
• Antibiotics such as ciprofloxacin and clarithromycin, as well as antiviral medications like ritonavir, when used in combination with Itranox 200 capsules, tend to increase the effectiveness of this medicine and may also increase the risk of side effects. They must be used cautiously.
• Discuss with the doctor regarding medication or herbal supplement that you take while taking this medicine to avoid interactions.
