Medical Description
Itranox 200 capsule contains the active ingredient Itraconazole, an antifungal agent. It is used to treat fungal infections affecting areas such as the vagina, nails, skin, mouth, eyes, and other organs. It helps relieve symptoms and eliminates fungal overgrowth.
It works by blocking a key enzyme required for the formation of the fungal cell membrane. This disruption prevents fungi from forming a complete, functioning outer layer, which is essential for their survival and growth. Consequently, the fungal cells either stop reproducing or die due to weakened cell membranes. This targeted action makes it useful against susceptible fungal pathogens.
It is not suitable for individuals with known allergies to Itraconazole or any other ingredient in the medicine. It should be avoided by patients with a history of heart issues, including heart failure. It is also unsafe during pregnancy, as it may harm the unborn baby.
Common side effects include nausea, rash, headache, and dizziness and should be reported to your doctor if they continue or cause concern.
