• Diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting
• Hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Fatigue and asthenia (weakness)
• Decreased appetite and weight loss
• Hand-foot syndrome (palmar-plantar erythrodysesthesia syndrome)
• Hoarseness or changes in voice quality

• Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid gland)
• Abdominal pain, indigestion, and constipation
• Muscle pain, joint pain, or limb pain
• Shortness of breath and cough
• Dizziness and headache
• Skin rash and dry skin

• Severe high blood pressure crises or hypertensive crises.
• Arterial or venous thromboembolic events (such as blood clots, stroke, or deep vein thrombosis)
• Gastrointestinal perforation or severe bleeding events
• Liver enzyme elevations and liver impairment
• Heart failure or cardiac dysfunction
• Proteinuria (presence of excess protein in the urine)
• Reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome (RPLS)

Other General Warnings

• You have high blood pressure or heart disease, as your blood pressure should be controlled before and during treatment.
• You develop severe or persistent diarrhoea.
• You notice unusual bleeding or bruising.
• You develop chest pain, sudden breathlessness, or swelling or pain in a limb.
• You develop severe headaches, confusion, seizures, or vision changes.
• You have severe abdominal pain or other symptoms suggesting gastrointestinal problems.
• You are planning surgery or an invasive procedure, as treatment may need to be temporarily stopped.
• You have liver or kidney problems, as your doctor may need to adjust treatment.

• Take Inlyta tablet orally as prescribed by your doctor.
• Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water; do not crush, chew, or split them.
• You may take this medication either with or without food.
• Continue your treatment course as long as you observe clinical benefit or until your doctor advises discontinuation.

• Store the tablets at room temperature away from excessive heat, moisture, and direct sunlight.
• Keep the medication container tightly closed and out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not keep expired or unwanted tablets; return unused medicine to your pharmacist for safe disposal.

• Monitor your blood pressure regularly at home and keep a log to share with your oncology team.
• Keep all scheduled blood test appointments to check your thyroid function, liver health, and blood counts.
• Report any sudden swelling, severe headache, chest pain, or vision changes to your doctor immediately.
• Report painful redness, swelling, or blisters on your hands or feet.
• Tell your healthcare providers you are taking this medication before any scheduled surgeries or dental procedures.

Interactions with other medicines

• Avoid strong CYP3A4/5 inducers (such as rifampicin, carbamazepine, or St. John's wort), as they can decrease blood levels.
• Avoid strong CYP3A4/5 inhibitors (such as ketoconazole, clarithromycin, or ritonavir), as they can increase blood levels and toxicity of the drug.
• Inform your doctor about all prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and herbal supplements you are taking, especially blood pressure medications or anticoagulants.

Interactions with food items

• Inlyta tablet can be taken with or without food.
• Avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice during your treatment, as it can interact with liver enzymes and affect drug levels.
• Maintain a balanced diet and stay well-hydrated throughout your therapy unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
• Try to avoid excessive alcohol consumption, as it can worsen fatigue, dizziness, and place extra strain on your liver and blood pressure control.
