Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Paracetamol acts by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are chemical messengers that cause fever and pain. Pseudoephedrine is a sympathomimetic with both indirect and direct mechanisms of action. It relieves stuffiness and congestion in the nostrils by narrowing and contracting the tiny blood vessels of the airways and nasal canals. Chlorpheniramine acts by preventing the function of histamine, a chemical that causes symptoms of allergy. It aids in drying up certain body fluids by preventing acetylcholine release, which decreases symptoms like runny nose and watery eyes.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

  • Blood pressure reducing drugs such as Propranolol and Atenolol.
  • Pain killer drugs such as Ibuprofen.
  • Antiepileptics such as Carbamazepine and Phenytoin.
  • Antidepressants such as Escitalopram and Duloxetine.

Interactions with food items

  • Avoid consumption of Hatric 3 Syrup with chocolates.
  • Avoid consumption of Hatric 3 Syrup with caffeine-containing products, such as tea and cocoa beans, as they can raise the likelihood of adverse effects becoming severe.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Hatric 3 Syrup because it may cause liver problems and induce dizziness and drowsiness.
