It contains a combination of glipizGlynase-MF is an anti-diabetic medication used to treat type 2 diabetes, a condition where the body either doesn't produce enough insulin or can't effectively use the insulin it produces. This tablet combines two medications: Glipizide, which stimulates the pancreas to release insulin and reduces glucose production in the liver, and Metformin, which helps the body use insulin more effectively and also reduces glucose production in the liver.

Glynase-MF should be taken with food at regular intervals as prescribed by your doctor to minimize stomach upset. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage, which may be adjusted over time based on your blood sugar levels. Common side effects include low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), nausea, diarrhea, indigestion, headache, dizziness, blurred vision, weakness, cold sweats, stomach pain, weight gain, and swelling. While not everyone experiences these side effects, seek medical attention if they occur. Lactic acidosis, a rare but serious condition caused by a buildup of lactic acid in the blood, is a potential risk, especially in people with kidney, liver, or heart disease.

Some other medications with glipizide and metformin as active ingredients include Dibizide M tablet, Glimet DS tablet, Glyson MF tablet, Glirum MF tablet and Metaglez Forte tablet. Do not skip the meal, take small but frequent meals.
