Glynase Mf Strip Of 10 Tablets
Medical Description
Glynase-MF tablet is an anti-diabetic medicine used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It contains a combination of glipizide and metformin as active ingredients. Glynase-MF helps to lower the raised blood sugar levels.
Managing diabetes involves making lifestyle changes such as maintaining a healthy diet, exercising regularly and managing weight. Glynase-MF is an important part of a comprehensive diabetes management plan, but it is crucial to take the prescribed dosage and frequency for it to be effective.
Monitoring blood sugar levels regularly is necessary while taking Glynase-MF to assess its impact on diabetes management. While this medication helps lower blood sugar levels, it can occasionally cause hypoglycemia, which is characterized by low blood sugar.
It is important for patients to inform their healthcare providers about all medications, supplements and herbal products they are using to prevent any adverse effects or decreased effectiveness. Patients should also be careful about alcohol consumption while taking Glynase-MF, as excessive alcohol use can increase the risk of lactic acidosis, which is a rare but serious side effect associated with Metformin use. Since every individual's medical condition is unique, personalized advice from healthcare professionals is essential for proper diabetes management while taking Glynase-MF.
Take this medicine as prescribed and for the duration that it is prescribed by your doctor. Do not miss any dose or take more than that recommended by the doctor. Some other medications with glipizide and metformin as active ingredients include Dibizide M tablet, Glimet DS tablet, Glyson MF tablet, Glirum MF tablet and Metaglez Forte tablet. Do not skip the meal, take small but frequent meals.
