Medical Description

Glycopress Indus inhalation capsule is used for long-term control of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, a lung condition that narrows the airways and makes breathing difficult. It contains a combination of indacaterol and glycopyrronium bromide, which are long-acting airway-opening medicines with different effects on airway tightening. Indacaterol relaxes the muscles around the airways, while glycopyrronium reduces signals that tighten them and increase secretions. Together they help keep excess mucus from obstructing airflow. The capsule is placed in its prescribed inhaler and inhaled through the mouth, never swallowed. It controls ongoing symptoms but is not a rescue treatment for sudden breathing difficulty.
