A:
Reproductive toxicity has been demonstrated in animal studies. Gentamicin is a medication that crosses the placenta. Gentamicin should not be used when pregnant unless there is a life-threatening indication and the benefit outweighs the risk due to the danger of inner ear and kidney damage to the growing baby.

A:
Gentamicin is excreted in breast milk and was found in low concentrations in breast-fed children. Diarrhoea and fungus infection can occur in those infants. Hence, caution must be exercised when giving to mothers that are nursing.

Can I drive after taking the Genticyn injection?
A:
In case you feel dizzy after taking the injection, you should avoid driving.
