Description
FZ 150 tablet is an antifungal medicine, used to treat fungal infections caused by various organisms of the skin, blood, urinary tract, mouth, throat and other parts of the body. It contains fluconaz
ole as its active ingredient. Fluconazole acts by inhibiting the growth of the fungal cell wall, thus resulting in fungal cell death. This medicine should not be used by pregnant or nursing women. FZ 150 tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. You can take this medicine with meals to avoid stomach upset. Always complete the entire course of the treatment, even if you start feeling better. As stopping the treatment in between can result in incomplete eradication of the infection causing organism from the body, thus increase the risk of re-infection.

Contraindications
- If you are allergic to fluconazole or any other ingredient of FZ 150 tablet.
- If you are taking medicines like Astemizole, Terfenadine, Cisapride, Pimozide, Quinidine, Erythromycin.

- Inform your doctor if you get pregnant while on this medicine or think you may be pregnant. It is recommended to use contraception at least for one week even after stopping the medicine.

Fluconazole in FZ 150 tablet passes into human milk. Breastfeeding can be continued after a single dose; however, if you are taking this medicine repeatedly or in high doses, breastfeeding is not recommended.

You may experience dizziness or fits while taking FZ 150 tablet. If you experience any of these, you should not drive or use any tools or machines while taking this medicine.

Avoid excess alcohol while taking FZ 150 tablet, as alcohol may worsen the side effects like dizziness.
Other General Warnings

How Does It Work?
FZ 150 tablet blocks the formation of the cell membrane of the fungus by inhibiting an enzyme. Thus resulting in fungal cell death.
Directions for Use
FZ 150 tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it whole with a glass of water. Take it at a fixed time for optimal results. Do not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor....

- In particular if you are taking medicines for heart disease, respiratory problem like theophylline, cancer, fungal infections like ketoconazole, anti-hypertensive medicines, anti-HIV medicines, medicines for anxiety or brain-related disorders, blood thinners like warfarin and anti-epileptic medicines like phenytoin, anti-diabetic medicines etc....
- Other medicines that should be used with caution are medicines for acidity, gout, ovarian cancer etc.
