Mode of Action of Forzest 20 MG
How Does It Work?
Tadalafil of the Forzest 20 mg tablets works by preventing the activity of an enzyme (PDE5) that causes erectile dysfunction in men. In the absence of that enzyme, the smooth muscles of the penis relax to increase the blood flow to the erectile tissue forming the bulk of the penis, which can now produce an erection in the presence of sexual stimulation. In addition, this medicine also relaxes muscle cells in the bladder and prostate and eases the urinary symptoms of prostate enlargement....

Interactions of Forzest 20 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Administration of Forzest 20 mg tablets along with medicines containing nitrates, blood-pressure-lowering medications, or alpha-blockers leads to may have an additive effect in lowering the blood pressure...
- Concomitant administration of an antacid (magnesium hydroxide/ aluminium hydroxide) and Forzest 20 mg tablets may reduce the absorption of tadalafil
- Administration of Forzest 20 mg tablets with certain HIV medications like ritonavir and lopinavir/ritonavir could increase the action of tadalafil
- Rifampin, a CYP3A4 inducer, when taken along with Forzest 20 mg tablets, may decrease the effect of tadalafil
- Ketoconazole, a CYP3A4 inhibitor, when taken along with the Forzest 20 mg tablets, may increase its activity
