• You have any kind of pre-existing health condition such as thyroid problems, fits/seizures, diabetes, liver problems, weak bones, high blood pressure, heart-related disorder etc.
• Your asthma condition is suddenly worsening.
• You feel that the treatment is ineffective.
• You are on any medicines that suppress immunity.

• Use Foracort 200 Inhaler as directed by your doctor, and be sure to check the label for specific instructions before use.
• Shake the inhaler well before each use.
• Take it at the same time every day to maintain a steady level of medication in your body.
• Hold the inhaler with the mouthpiece facing downward.
• Place the mouthpiece between your teeth, sealing your lips around it.
• Press down on the inhalerhaler once to release the medication while inhaling slowly.
• Hold your breath for 5 to 10 seconds before exhaling slowly.
• Continue this process until you have taken the number of puffs prescribed by your doctor.
• After using Foracort 200 inhaler, rinse your mouth with water and spit it out to prevent fungal infections in your mouth and throat.

• Store Foracort Inhaler 200 below 30°C. Do not freeze.
• Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

• Foracort 200 Inhaler is used in adults and children above 6 years for the regular treatment of asthma and moderate to severe Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) with frequent symptoms and a history of recurrent exacerbations.
• Before use, perform respiratory tests to assess the severity of respiratory disorders and lung function.
• It should not be used if allergic to any of its ingredients and is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless necessary.
• Before using Foracort 200 Inhaler, inform your doctor of any pre-existing heart problems, increased blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid issues, liver problems, osteoporosis, immune system diseases, eye problems, or exposure to certain infections.
• Common side effects in adults may include muscle pain, sleep difficulties, palpitations, increased heart rate, elevated blood sugar levels, and decreased potassium levels. Consult a doctor if symptoms worsen or persist.

Overdose

• Symptoms of overdose of Foracort Inhaler 200 are headache, nausea, vomiting, palpitations, increased blood glucose, and low potassium levels.
• If you have used too much of Foracort Inhaler 200, then contact your doctor or reach out to the nearest hospital immediately.

Missed a Dose

• If you have missed taking any dose of Foracort Inhaler 200, then take it as soon as you remember.
• If it's already time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule.
• Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

How Does It Work?

• Foracort Inhaler 200 works by the combined action of formoterol and budesonide.
• Budesonide is a corticosteroid medicine, which on inhalation reduces inflammation in the airways, thus reducing the chances of worsening asthma.
• Formoterol widens the air passage in the lungs and provides relief from the symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Interactions with other medicines

• Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are taking to avoid any possible interaction.
• Especially, tell your healthcare provider if you take antifungals, medicines used to treat mood disorders or diuretic medicines.
• Medicines such as cardiac glycosides used for managing heart failure and irregular heartbeats should be used with caution with Foracort Inhaler 200 as it can lead to low potassium levels and irregular heart rhythm.
• Other medicines that should be used with caution are blood pressure-lowering medicines and medicines for certain eye conditions.
