Other General Warnings
- You experience a fever, chills, or any signs of an infection, as prompt medical evaluation is critical due to suppressed immunity.
- You notice unusual pale skin, extreme fatigue, or dark urine, which can be signs of autoimmune hemolytic anemia.
- You develop neurological changes, such as confusion, agitation, weakness, or vision loss.
- You require a blood transfusion, as any blood products given during or after fludarabine therapy must be irradiated to prevent transfusion-associated graft-versus-host disease.
- If you need a blood transfusion: Tell your doctor that you are receiving fludarabine, as irradiated blood products may be required during and after treatment to reduce the risk of a serious transfusion-related complication.
- If you have kidney problems: Tell your doctor, as kidney function affects how fludarabine is removed from the body, and your treatment may need to be adjusted.
