Uses
- Feliz-s-5 Tablet is helpful in depression and other mental health disorders such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, and panic disorder.
Contraindications
- If you have an Escitalopram oxalate allergy.
- If you have an alcohol addiction.
- If you are on MAO inhibitors (Selegiline, Phenelzine, Isocarboxazid etc.).
- If you have any health conditions such as diabetes, liver disease, kidney disease, heart disease, recent heart attack, epilepsy, decreased level of sodium in the blood, severe diarrhoea, severe vomiting, tendency to develop bleeding/, having a low resting heart rate, experiencing a fast/ irregular heartbeat, fainting, glaucoma, bipolar disorder, bleeding disorder, or clotting disorder, ensure you inform your doctor. Your physician decides whether Feliz-s-5 Tablet will help you based on your disease and its severity.
- If you are on any treatments such as electroconvulsive treatment, high blood pressure medicines such as diuretics, dietary supplements or alternative medicines such as Ayurveda, inform your doctor.

- You have an abnormally elevated mood.
- You have a family history of suicide.
- You develop unusual changes in behaviour such as agitation or suicidal ideation.
- You experience persistent side effects such as a decrease or increase in appetite, weight gain, high fever, vomiting, or dizziness.
- You experience worsening of side effects such as headache, dry mouth/lack of saliva, constipation/ difficulty passing stools, or diarrhoea/loose stools.
- You want to plan for pregnancy in the near future. Intimating your doctor in advance helps in better treatment planning.
Directions for Use
- You can take Feliz-s-5 Tablet with food or without food as advised by your doctor.
- Always take Feliz-s-5 Tablet as a whole with a glass of water. Do not break/ crush/ chew the tablet.
- Take Feliz-s-5 Tablet preferably in the morning as suggested by your doctor. Taking it at night might disturb your sleep.
- Take Feliz-s-5 Tablet at the same time every day so that it can be effective.
- Never self-medicate; it is dangerous. Your doctor assesses your health in detail, including any diseases you are suffering from, any medicines you are taking, any allergies, any dietary supplements you are taking, any diseases running in your family and prescribes medication and dosage based on your health.
- Follow the dosage instructions given by your doctor. Even if you feel better, never change the dosage without your doctor’s approval.
- Never stop the medicine without talking to your doctor first. It can cause severe side effects called withdrawal symptoms. Your doctor might gradually taper the dosage before stopping the treatment based on your improved health condition.

- Feliz-s-5 Tablet interacts with the following medicines and causes side effects, which could be as severe as life-threatening heart rhythm disorder:
- Antidepressants such as Iproniazid, Phenelzine, and Tranylcypromine; Desipramine and Imipramine
- Medication used in the treatment of manic-depressive disorder such as Lithium and Tryptophan
- Antibiotics such as Linezolid
- Severe pain reliever medicines such as Tramadol
- Medication for migraine such as Sumatriptan
- Stomach ulcer medicines such as Cimetidine, Omeprazole, and Lansoprazole
- Fungal infection medicines such as Fluconazole
- Medicines for stroke such as Ticlopidine
- Blood thinners such as Warfarin, Phenprocoumon, and Dipyridamole
- Malaria medicines such as Mefloquine
- Medicines to treat heart diseases such as Propafenone and Flecainide
- Medicines that reduce the blood levels of magnesium and potassium
