Pregnancy

Eprisan capsules are unsafe to use during pregnancy. It has shown evidence of an increased rate of miscarriage and risk of fetal development in the case of early pregnancy.
Breast Feeding

Can the Eprisan capsule be used while breastfeeding?
A:
Due to limited studies, the safety of this capsule while breastfeeding could not be confirmed. Like other NSAIDs, diclofenac does pass in breast milk in small amounts. Therefore the risk to infants cannot be excluded, and this tablet should not be used while breastfeeding.
Driving

How Does It Work?
Eperisone is an antispasmodic medicine that relaxes skeletal muscles and vascular smooth muscles, thereby suppressing and relieving pain. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent; its primary mechanism involves inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis through COX-inhibition. Directions for Use of Eprisan D Sr Strip Of 10 Capsules
- Take this capsule with a glass of water
- Do not break or open the capsule
- Take the prescribed dose regularly
Interactions of Eprisan D Sr Strip Of 10 Capsules
Interactions with other medicines
- When lithium or digoxin is used concomitantly, diclofenac may increase plasma concentrations of lithium and digoxin
- Concomitant use of diclofenac with diuretics and antihypertensives may decrease the antihypertensive effect
- Increased serum potassium levels are observed when diclofenac is co-administered with potassium-sparing diuretics
- Anti-platelet agents and anticoagulants, when administered with diclofenac, should be handled with caution as they increase the risk of bleeding
- Co-administration of diclofenac with other NSAIDs may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding
- Eperisone, when taken with paracetamol, may interact with muscle relaxants, blood thinners and lipid-lowering agents
- Diclofenac may inhibit the renal clearance of methotrexate, thereby leading to an increase in toxicity of methotrexate
- Concomitant use of cardiac glycosides and NSAIDs in patients may exacerbate cardiac failure

Overdose
