Epilive syrup contains Levetiracetam, which is used to treat epilepsy (fits). It can be used alone or in combination with other medications. It works to prevent seizures as long as it is taken consistently. This medicine should be taken as directed by your doctor, in the prescribed doses and duration. Epilive syrup is used for the treatment of epilepsy (fits).

Contraindications of Epilive 100 MG/ML

If you are allergic to levetiracetam or any other ingredients of Epilive syrup.
If you have kidney-related problems.
If you have a history of brain-related abnormal behaviours such hallucinations or suicidal thoughts.
If you have a psychiatric disorder such as depression, loss of reality personality.
If you have an abnormal blood cell count.

Pregnancy

Directions for Use of Epilive 100 MG/ML

Take Epilive syrup at the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Measure Epilive syrup using a measuring cup, and take it orally.
Shake well before use.
It can be taken with or without food.
Following oral administration, a bitter taste of levetiracetam may be experienced.
It is advisable to take it at the same time each day.

Storage and disposal of Epilive 100 MG/ML

Keep Epilive syrup out of children's sight and reach.
Do not use Epilive syrup after the expiry date.
Store at 25 degrees Celsius.

An overdose of Epilive syrup can lead to sleepiness, irritability, hostility, reduced awareness, respiratory depression, and coma. If you have taken more tablets than prescribed, consult your doctor. ...

Missed a Dose

Take Epilive syrup as soon as you remember if you miss a dose. However, if your next dose is due, skip the missed dose and return to your regular schedule. Do not take two doses.

Interactions of Epilive 100 MG/ML

Interactions with other medicines

Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
It has been observed that taking levetiracetam and methotrexate together reduces methotrexate clearance, resulting in higher/longer blood methotrexate concentrations that are potentially hazardous.
Co-administration of levetiracetam and a laxative called macrogol may decrease the efficacy of levetiracetam. Hence, use macrogol one hour before or after using levetiracetam.
