Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
- Doxycept tablet contains a combination of doxycycline and lactic acid bacillus as the active ingredients.
- Doxycycline interferes with the formation of proteins, which are essential for the survival and growth of bacteria. This prevents bacterial replication and thus controls the infection.
- Lactic acid bacillus is beneficial bacteria that is already present in the intestine. It supports the natural bacterial flora of the intestine and helps in digestion and absorption. Use/overuse of antibiotics kills these good bacteria in the intestine. Lactic acid bacillus help in restoring the good bacteria in the intestine.
