Medical Description

Dorsun T eye drops are used to reduce the pressure in the eye in patients with open-angle glaucoma. It contains a combination of dorzolamide and timolol as active ingredients. Dorsun T eye drops act by reducing the pressure within the eye. Use this medicine exactly as prescribed by the doctor. It is meant for external use only. Do not swallow or ingest. Before using Dorsun T eye drops, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, breastfeeding and about your complete medical history. These eye drops should not be used in children below 2 years of age.

Uses

Dorsun T eye drops are used to lower raised pressure within the eye in the treatment of glaucoma.

Contraindications

  • If you are allergic to dorzolamide, timolol or any of the component Dorsun T eye drops.
  • If you have lung conditions such as asthma or chronic lung disease (which may cause difficulty in breathing or chronic cough).
  • If you have heart disease such as heart blockage, heart failure or decreased heart rate.
  • If you have kidney failure or acidosis with increase chloride ions.

Directions for Use

  • Use Dorsun T eye drops exactly as instructed by your doctor.
  • Follow the directions carefully and do not miss an application.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying.
  • Close your eyes for 2 - 3 minutes and do not blink or squeeze.
  • Avoid touching your eyes with the dropper. The dropper must be kept clean to avoid infections.
  • Using a clean tissue or cloth, wipe any excess liquid from your face.
  • Use the exact number of drops as recommended by your doctor.
  • If you have been prescribed any other eye drops or eye ointments, keep an interval of at least 5 minutes between both medicines.

Overdose

  • As Dorsun T eye drops is meant for external application cases of overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
