Deriphyllin BM expectorant is used for cough with mucus and chest congestion linked to conditions such as bronchitis, bronchial asthma and emphysema. It contains a combination of ambroxol, guaifenesin and terbutaline. Ambroxol thins thick mucus, guaifenesin loosens it by increasing airway fluid, and terbutaline relaxes airway muscles to improve airflow. Deriphyllin BM expectorant is a measured liquid taken by mouth after shaking the bottle, with or without food as advised.
