• If you are allergic to acetazolamide, other sulfonamide medicines, or any other ingredient of Daymox Capsule.
• If you have low sodium or potassium levels in the body.
• If you have a condition where your blood is too acidic, called hyperchloremic acidosis.
• If you have severe kidney disease or kidney failure.
• If you have severe liver disease or a history of liver failure.
• If you have adrenal gland problems, such as Addison's disease.
• If you have long-term (chronic) non-congestive angle-closure glaucoma, as Daymox Capsule may mask the condition getting worse.
• If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.
• Daymox Capsule should be used in children under 12 years of age only if specifically advised by a doctor.

• Increased urination
• Tingling sensation in the hands, feet or lips
• Loss of appetite
• Altered or metallic taste
• Nausea and vomiting
• Diarrhoea
• Dizziness and drowsiness
• Blurred vision
• Headache

Other General Warnings

• You have any form of kidney problem, including kidney stones.
• You have liver disease.
• You have a blood glucose-related problem such as diabetes.
• You are above 65 years of age, as you may be more sensitive to side effects.
• You have a lung-related disorder, such as difficulty in breathing.
• You are taking any medicine to treat fits or seizures.
• You are allergic to sulfonamide medicines (a group that includes certain antibiotics and diuretics).
• You are planning to spend time at high altitude, as your doctor may advise starting Daymox Capsule before ascent.
• Daymox Capsule may increase sensitivity to sunlight, so use sun protection when outdoors.

• Daymox Capsule should be taken cautiously with methotrexate, anti-diabetic medicines and blood thinners as it may increase or decrease the action of these medicines.

• Daymox Capsule taken along with medicines used for the treatment of seizures or fits may lead to bone softening (osteomalacia), so caution is advised.
• Daymox Capsule may increase the levels of amphetamine and quinidine in the body and prolong their action.
• Taking Daymox Capsule with sodium bicarbonate (used to reduce stomach acid) can increase the risk of kidney stones.
• Lithium used for brain-related disorders should be used cautiously with Daymox Capsule as it can change lithium levels in the body.
• Daymox Capsule can reduce the effectiveness of urinary antiseptics such as methenamine.
• High doses of aspirin or other salicylates taken with Daymox Capsule can increase the risk of serious side effects; tell your doctor if you regularly take aspirin.
• Other medicines like ciclosporin, carbamazepine, primidone and topiramate may interact with Daymox Capsule.
