Description

Cyendiv capsule is used to treat a rare lung disease known as Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). It is also prescribed for specific forms of lung cancer in combination with another anticancer medication called docetaxel. The active ingredient in Cyendiv capsule is nintedanib, which works by reducing the activity of certain enzymes called tyrosine kinases that contribute to fibrosis (scarring), thereby helping to slow the scarring of the lungs.

For optimal results, take Cyendiv capsule with food at the same time every day. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage and schedule for you, which may be adjusted as necessary. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully, as improper use or an overdose can lead to serious side effects. Do not discontinue this medication without consulting your doctor, even if it takes weeks or months to notice any benefits.

A very common side effect of this medicine is diarrhea. It is essential to drink plenty of fluids and consult your doctor if symptoms persist. Other common side effects may include nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, weight loss, high blood pressure, and headaches. Your doctor may also order blood tests to monitor your liver function.

Before starting Cyendiv capsule, inform your doctor if you have any bleeding problems or issues with your liver or kidneys. Additionally, please inform your healthcare team about all other medications you are taking, as many can interact with this medication. Cyendiv capsule is not recommended for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. To prevent pregnancy, both male and female patients are advised to use effective contraception during treatment.
