Medical Description
Cosart H tablet is an anti-hypertensive medicine. It contains a combination of hydrochlorothiazide and losartan as active substances. Cosart H tablet is used to manage high blood pressure when it cannot be controlled with losartan or hydrochlorothiazide alone. It works by relaxing the blood vessels and removing more water and salt from the body, which helps lower elevated blood pressure. Take this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor, in the prescribed dose and duration.
Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Before starting Cosart H tablet, inform your doctor about your medical history. Along with taking this medicine, it is recommended to make certain lifestyle changes like eating a balanced diet, reducing salt intake, exercising regularly and avoiding smoking and alcohol for better control of your blood pressure levels. Cosart H tablet should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Do not take this medicine if you are more than three months pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Cosart H may cause dizziness or drowsiness, so be cautious when driving or performing tasks that require alertness. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.
