- -Visual problems like optic neuritis
- -Allergy to drug

- Combutol 800 should not be taken by patients with any kind of visual, liver, or kidney disorder, without a doctor’s supervision.
- Be regular with the dose, Combutol 800 cannot be stopped without a doctor's recommendation.
- Not to be taken by children under the age of 13.
- Pregnant and lactating women should always inform the doctor about the present situation.
Directions for Use
- Combutol 800 should be taken according to the recommendation of a doctor. It is usually taken as a long term medicine in combination with other medicines.
- It can be taken with or without food. However, try to take it preferably with food to avoid any stomach problems. Try to maintain a schedule and have the medicine at the same time every day.
- You can feel better while taking the medicine during the treatment. Do not stop taking the dose without consulting your doctor.
- The tablet has to be swallowed whole orally with a glass of water. The tablet should not be chewed, crushed or broken.
- In case of a missed dose, take the tablet as soon as you remember the skipped dose. But if it is almost time for another one, consider sticking to the schedule.

Interactions with other medicines
- Always inform your doctor about all the medicines you are currently consuming, including any supplements being taken. Combutol can interact with drugs like-
- Antacid- Antacids containing aluminium hydroxide makes the absorption of Combutol harder. Try to avoid any antacid for 4 hrs after taking medicine.
- Cholera vaccine- If you take Combutol, it is advisable to wait for the vaccine.
- Atorvastatin
- Isoniazid
- Inform your doctor if you are taking any drug, vaccine or any kind of supplement. Even if it is herbal or ayurvedic or any other category.
Interactions with food items
- Interaction with alcohol
- Avoid taking alcohol while taking Combutol 800
- Higher risk of liver disease in chronic alcoholics
