Combutol 800 MG Description

Combutol is an antibiotic that is used in the treatment as well as prevention of Tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that affects the lungs caused by a bacteria, namely Mycobacterium

tuberculosis. Combutol just works on bacterial infections and not for viral infections. Tuberculosis can be potentially dangerous and can also spread to the brain and spine. Combutol has Ethambutol hydrochloride as an active agent. It is commonly used in addition to other antitubercular drugs for treating Tuberculosis. It works by inhibiting the growth of the bacteria responsible for the disease. It is prescribed as a long term medication and must be taken daily.

  • Combutol 800 should be taken according to the recommendation of a doctor. It is usually taken as a long term medicine in combination with other medicines.
