Medical Description
Cociaclav tablet is a prescription combination medicine used for certain bacterial infections, including infections of the ear, sinuses, throat, lungs, urinary tract, skin or soft tissues. It contains amoxycillin, clavulanic acid and lactobacillus. Amoxycillin stops susceptible bacteria building a protective covering, clavulanic acid blocks enzymes that can break down amoxycillin, and lactobacillus helps support the normal balance of gut bacteria. Cociaclav tablet is taken by mouth with or without food, exactly as prescribed, and is intended only for infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
