Medical Description
Clav Den dry syrup is an antibiotic used to treat selected bacterial infections of the ears, sinuses, throat, lungs, urinary tract, skin, teeth, joints and bones. It contains a combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin damages the bacterial cell wall, while clavulanic acid blocks enzymes that can otherwise protect bacteria from amoxycillin. The prepared suspension is given by mouth using the measuring device supplied with the pack, often for children, exactly as prescribed.
