Cisataur 10 MG Description
Cisataur Tablet is an anti-emetic medication. It contains cisapride as the active substance. Cisataur Tablet is used in the treatment of heartburn due to gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in a
dults. It works by increasing the rate at which your oesophagus, stomach and intestines move during digestion. It also increases the rate at which your stomach empties into your intestines. Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Cisataur Tablet may cause serious irregular heartbeats, which may be fatal. Tell your doctor if you have a family history of heart problems or if you have/had irregular heartbeats, heart disease, severe dehydration, vomiting, eating disorders or kidney or lung failure. Before starting Cisataur Tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant/breastfeeding and about your complete medical history.

Contraindications of Cisataur 10 MG
- If you are allergic to cisapride or any of the ingredients of Cisataur Tablet.
- If you have bleeding or an obstruction in your stomach.
- If you have any heart disease such as congestive heart failure, slow heart rate, heart rhythm disorder, a structural heart defect, heart block or other conduction disorders.
- If you have a personal or family history of long QT syndrome.
- If you have hardening of the arteries.
- If you have severe dehydration, malnutrition or an eating disorder.
- If you have kidney failure, severe lung problems or advanced cancer.

Interactions of Cisataur 10 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Cisataur Tablet works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Inform your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Cisataur Tablet should not be taken along with medicines like bepridil (used to treat high blood pressure and heart-related chest pain); medicines used to treat mental disorders like chlorpromazine, fluphenazine, mesoridazine, perphenazine, sertindole, thioridazine, thiothixene, trifluoperazine; clarithromycin, erythromycin, troleandomycin (used to treat bacterial infections); fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole (used to treat fungal infections); medications for the treatment of depression such as amitriptyline, amoxapine, clomipramine, desipramine, doxepin, imipramine, maprotiline, nefazodone, nortriptyline, protriptyline and trimipramine; medications for the treatment of irregular heart beats such as amiodarone, disopyramide, quinidine, procainamide and sotalol; prochlorperazine (used to treat nausea/vomiting); promethazine (used for treating allergic symptoms); protease inhibitors such as indinavir and ritonavir used to treat HIV/AIDS and sparfloxacin (used to treat bacterial respiratory infections and sinusitis)....
- Particular care should be taken if you are taking anti-anxiety medications, anticholinergics (atropine, belladonna, benztropine, dicyclomine, diphenhydramine, isopropamide, procyclidine and scopolamine), anticoagulants/blood thinners such as warfarin, anti-bacterial like azithromycin, anti-ulcer medications like cimetidine, anti-infectives like dirithromycin, fluid accumulation/swelling reducing medicines like diuretics, antifungals like miconazole, tranquillizers and vitamins....
