Medical Description

Cilostaid tablet is used to treat cramping pain in the legs due to inadequate blood supply (intermittent claudication). It contains cilostazol as the main ingredient. Acts by dilating (opening) blood vessels which improves blood circulation.

Inform your doctor if you are on any other medicine or have a history of allergies, any heart problems, bleeding problems, kidney or liver problems, and if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Having pain in the chest, often spreading to the arms or shoulders and back, you may need medical attention, go to the nearest hospital immediately. This medicine is not suitable for use in children and adolescents.

Uses

Cilostaid tablet is used for the treatment of cramp-like pain in your legs while walking. Pain is caused by decreased blood supply in your legs (intermittent claudication).

Contraindications

  • If you are allergic to cilostazol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
  • If you are taking medicines that may increase the risk of bleeding like aspirin, clopidogrel, or any other medicines.
  • If you have any kidney or liver problems.
  • If you have any heart problems.
  • If you have persistent chest pain or had a heart attack/ heart surgery in the last six months.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
