Description
Cibiriv Tablet is used to manage Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). It is a chronic condition that induces inflammation of the large intestines. Relieving the unwanted effects such as abdominal pain, ab
dominal muscle spasms, and flatulence is the primary use of Cibiriv tablets. It is also helpful in lowering anxiety, often seen in patients with this condition, and creating a calming impact. This medicine contains three active components: Chlordiazepoxide, Clidinium and Dicycloverine. The mode of action of Cibiriv tablets is to manage the activity of specific chemical substances in the body that lessens the overactivity of excited nerves. It provides ease from stomach discomfort, facilitates easy gas passing and relieves bloating. It also controls intestinal spasms. This medicine can also be used to treat abdominal spasms and cramps associated with different conditions like peptic ulcers, diarrhoea, enterocolitis, constipation, etc. Follow the doctor's direction for using Cibiriv tablets precisely as the doctor specifies. These tablets are not indicated for children and adolescents under 18. Cibiriv tablets have the potential to be habit-forming and can cause withdrawal symptoms.

- As per CDSCO, Cibiriv tablet is used to treat
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome (also known as Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome) by relieving symptoms of anxiety and stress associated with IBS
- Abdominal pain
- Bloating
- Flatulence
- Abdominal muscle cramps
- Spasm
Contraindications
- It is contraindicated in the following cases:
- If you have any known allergies to any of the components of Cibiriv tablets
- If you use any treatment for seizures (fits)
- If you were diagnosed with paralytic ileus (a situation in which the intestinal muscles have no regular movements)
- If you have been prescribed particular antidepressant tablets
- If you are expectant or intending to conceive
- If you are breastfeeding
- If you have disorders associated with the prostate, like prostatic hyperplasia
- If you have severe liver or kidney illnesses
- If you have a history of alcohol or substance abuse
- If you have glaucoma (an eye condition)

- You eat highly processed or fried food; these types of food can worsen the symptoms of Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome.
- You use medicine that causes sleepiness and Cibiriv tablets; this can increase tiredness and dizziness in the user.
- You encounter heartburn and take antacids for relief; do not take these medicines concurrently without informing your doctor.

- Try to take this tablet before meals.
- Do not exceed the dosage of Cibiriv tablets, even if you cannot feel the effects of this medicine.
- Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water.
- Do not break the pill or chew it.
- Do not suddenly stop taking Cibiriv tablets; this can induce withdrawal effects.
- Do not use Cibiriv tablets with different medicines without notifying your doctor.

Interactions with other medicines
- Do not use medicines like various antidepressants or antipsychotics with Cibiriv Tablets. They can lead to side effects such as sleepiness, vomiting, low heart rate, etc.
- Try to avoid using medicines that induce drowsiness like opioid pain relievers, sleeping pills, muscle relaxants, cough/cold medicine, and antihistamines (allergy medicine) with Cibiriv tablets can cause increased drowsiness and slow your breathing....
- Some studies have indicated that Cibiriv tablets interact with specific antacids. They should not be used simultaneously. Confer your doctor for the appropriate therapy.
Interactions with food items
- Try to avoid deep-fried food, fast food or food that is hard to digest. All these types of food can activate the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
- Avoid excess intake of coffee or products with caffeine. They can interfere with the efficacy of Cibiriv tablets.
