Cardiozen Fb 10mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
Description
Cardiozen Fb tablet is a combination medicine containing atorvastatin and fenofibrate, prescribed to help lower excessively high levels of "bad" cholesterol and triglycerides in your blood. Atorvastatin works to reduce the production of bad cholesterol, while fenofibrate aids in the breakdown of triglyceride fat. This combined action is crucial because high levels of these fats can significantly increase your risk of developing heart diseases, including suffering from a stroke or a heart attack. You should use this medication strictly alongside a low-fat diet and necessary lifestyle adjustments, and only if your liver and kidney functions are normal.
It is important to follow the exact dose and duration as recommended by your doctor for Cardiozen Fb tablet. You can take this medicine at any time of the day, but it is best to take it at the same time every day. Before starting this treatment, you must inform your doctor about all other medicines and supplements you are taking, as well as your full medical history. Be aware that this medicine has contraindications; for instance, you should not take it if you have liver or kidney disease, gallbladder disease, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Like most medicines, Cardiozen Fb tablet can cause side effects, though not everyone experiences them. Common side effects may include nausea, loose motion, joint pain, headache, and indigestion. If you experience any serious symptoms, such as muscle pain, muscle weakness accompanied by fever, signs of liver problems, or an allergic reaction (including swelling of the lips, face, throat, or tongue), contact your doctor immediately. Avoid consuming alcohol while on this medicine, as it can cause liver problems.
If you happen to miss a dose of Cardiozen Fb tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is already time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Never take a double dose to make up for a missed one. In case of an overdose, which may present with difficulty in breathing, seek medical help immediately. Store your medicine below 25°C in a cool, dry place, keeping it protected from moisture, sunlight, and heat, and out of the reach of children and pets.
