Cantret capsule is used to treat certain ovarian tumours. Its active ingredient is altretamine.

Contraindications

If you are allergic to any ingredient of this medicine, do not use it. Do not use it if you have severe bone-marrow suppression unless your specialist advises it. Tell your doctor about nerve damage, low blood counts, or liver or kidney problems.

  • You are breastfeeding.
  • You are taking other prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, or herbal supplements.
  • Regular blood counts and neurological examinations are important during treatment because Cantret capsule can cause myelosuppression and neurotoxicity.

Directions for Use

Take this medicine as a whole with sufficient water. Swallow the capsule whole after food or at bedtime, exactly as prescribed by your cancer specialist.

Storage and disposal

Store in the original container away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Missed a Dose

If you missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
