Medical Description
Calciquick D3 60K capsule is a medication used to treat Vitamin D3/cholecalciferol deficiency. Nutritional deficiency occurs when the body doesn't receive enough nutrients from food, leading to a reduction in bone strength and causing weakness and diseases like osteoporosis. The active substance in Calciquick D3 60K capsule is Vitamin D3/cholecalciferol, which works by supplying the required amount of Vitamin D3/cholecalciferol to the body.
Vitamin D3/cholecalciferol is naturally available in foods like the flesh of fatty fish and fish liver oil. Vitamin D is produced naturally within the body when sun rays (UV rays) strike the skin, which is why it is also known as the 'sunshine vitamin'. Vitamin D plays an important role in the absorption of calcium in the body, which is essential for building bone and cellular processes like cell growth and immunity.
D Rise 60k capsule, Uprise D3 60k capsule, D3 Extra 60000iu capsule, Calcigen D3 capsule, and Gen D3 60k capsule are some other capsules with vitamin D3. It is important to take Calciquick D3 60K capsule as recommended by your doctor or as per the instructions leaflet. This medication is a high dose of Vitamin D3, to be taken once weekly and not meant for daily consumption.

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
- Calciquick D3 60K capsule undergoes certain changes in the body and is converted to a substance called calcitriol. Calcitriol interacts with certain proteins called Vitamin D receptors (VDR) that increase the absorption of calcium from the stomach/intestine and decrease the removal of calcium in the urine.
Ingredients and Benefits
- Vitamin D3/cholecalciferol is a fat-soluble vitamin. It is important for calcium and phosphorus absorption from the intestine, which is necessary for bone development, growth and regeneration.
- Vitamin D3/cholecalciferol promotes strong and healthy bones and teeth. It also helps with cell growth, proper functioning of nerves and muscles, building immunity and inflammation reduction.
- If you do not get enough vitamin D3, you are more likely to experience fractures, muscle pain and weakness.
- Adequate levels of vitamin D3 in the body can prevent diseases like rickets in children and bone softening in adults and the elderly.
