Ingredients and Benefits
- Calcigiant Dha tablet contains cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), calcium, methylcobalamin (vitamin B12), L-methyl folate calcium, and pyridoxine (vitamin B6).
- Vitamin D3: It plays a crucial role in the absorption of calcium and phosphorous from the intestine, which is critical for bone formation, growth and regeneration. It supports healthy bones, joints and teeth.
- Calcium: It is one of the most abundant minerals in the body. It is essential for building and maintaining healthy bones and teeth. It is also very important for maintaining the balance of breaking down and building up bones. It supports flexible movements and the mobility of muscles and bones. It also plays a crucial role in nerve transmission, muscle function, cellular signalling, and hormone secretion.
- Vitamin B12 or Methylcobalamin: It is essential for the functioning of the brain and the nerves. It also plays a role in the proper functioning of osteoblasts, bone-building cells of the body, by maintaining a balance of two important amino acids, homocysteine and methylmalonic acid.
- L-methyl folate calcium is an alternative source of folic acid, an essential vitamin that plays a vital role in DNA and the synthesis of amino acids. It regulates the metabolism of the amino acid homocysteine; increased levels of this amino acid are associated with the development of osteoporosis and the risk of fractures.
- Pyridoxine, also known as vitamin B6, is a crucial component for various reactions and acts as a coenzyme in the body. It plays a role in bone coupling reactions and bone calcification. Thus, an adequate supply is a must for bone formation and regeneration.
