Medical Description

Arzu 10 Tablet manages symptoms of schizophrenia(a serious mental condition in which people interpret reality abnormally). Arzu contains Aripiprazole which belongs to a group of medicines called antipsychotics. It may take a few weeks for you to notice a difference. Arzu should not be stopped abruptly without consulting your doctor since this may worsen your symptoms. Even if you feel better, avoid skipping any doses and finish the entire treatment term. There can be Arzu side effects. If these adverse effects are persistent or get worse, please see your doctor. Adopting a healthy lifestyle and eating a nutritious diet may help with Arzu side effects.

  • As per CDSCO, Arzu is used for the treatment of schizophrenia.

Contraindications

  • If you are allergic to Arzu 10 MG Tablet or other antipsychotics should not take it.
  • If you have dementia-related psychosis. It raises the risk of cardiac illness, such as heart failure and infectious diseases like pneumonia. Depending on the clinical situation, alternative medicine should be considered.

  • You experience suicidal ideation. While using this medication, report any unexpected changes in mood or behaviour, new or worsening depression, or suicidal thoughts to your doctor. In individuals with depression or suicidal tendencies, it should be administered with caution.
  • You developed Dyslipidemia and Diabetes. Arzu has the potential to raise blood glucose and cholesterol levels in the body. These indicators must be monitored on a regular basis.
  • You experience Tardive dyskinesia (involuntary tongue, lip, and cheek movements.) The possibility of gradually lowering the dose or stopping the medication should be considered.
  • You experience withdrawal syndrome. Withdrawal symptoms such as nausea, headache, diarrhoea, dizziness, and irritability may occur if you stop taking this prescription suddenly. The dose should be reduced gradually.
  • You are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • You are taking other medications. Dose changes or an alternative treatment may be considered based on your clinical state.
  • You experience excessive thirst or increased urine frequency. Dose modifications may be performed according to the clinical situation.

Directions for Use

  • Your doctor will determine the dose and frequency of administration so that you get the optimum amount to control your symptoms. It could be progressively raised.
  • Take Arzu as a whole. It should not be chewed, crushed, or broken.
  • It's best if you take it at the same time every day to ensure that your body receives a consistent dose of medicine.
  • You can take Arzu Tablet with or without breakfast, but it is best to take it first thing in the morning.

Storage and disposal

The temperature in the storage area should not exceed 30℃. The tablet should be stored away from direct sunlight in a cool, dark place without humidity. Avoid flushing the tablets down the toilet or into a drain. When this product is no longer required or has expired, properly disposed of to avoid accidental consumption by children or animals.

Clinically important signs and symptoms observed in one or more patients with Arzu overdoses (alone or with other substances) include acidosis, aggression, aspartate aminotransferase increased, atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, coma, confusional state, convulsion, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, depressed level of consciousness, hypertension, hypokalemia, hypotension, lethargy, loss of consciousness. In an overdose, seek emergency medical attention or contact a doctor.nclude vomiting, somnolence, and tremor.

Missed a Dose

Take Arzu Tablet as soon as you remember if you miss a dose. However, skip the missing dose and return to your regular schedule if your next dose is approaching. Do not take two doses or overdose.

Interactions with other medicines

  • Ketoconazole- Azole antifungal medicines like Ketoconazole and Itraconazole should be avoided due to the possibility of elevated medicine concentrations in the body. It can induce dizziness, dry mouth, and irregular heartbeats.
  • Metoclopramide- Concurrent use of these medications is not recommended due to an increased risk of abnormal facial and limb movements.
  • Antidiabetics- Antidiabetic medications may not have the desired effect when combined with Arzu. Blood glucose levels must be monitored regularly.
  • Antihypertensives- If taken together, you may suffer hypotensive symptoms such as dizziness and lightheadedness. It's a good idea to check your blood pressure on a frequent basis. Under the guidance of the doctor, appropriate dose changes or medicine substitution should be undertaken.
