Medical Description
Gabapin NT 100 Tablet is used to relieve neuropathic pain that occurs due to nerve damage or nerve compression. It contains two medicines, gabapentin and nortriptyline, which work together to reduce nerve pain and improve comfort.
Gabapentin helps in calming overactive nerve signals that cause pain, while nortriptyline works on the central nervous system to provide further relief from nerve-related discomfort. This combination is often prescribed when other pain medicines are not effective for nerve pain.
Some other medicines with the same combination include Gabaneuron NT, Gabagesic NT, Gabafix NT, Progaba NT and Gabator NT. Your doctor will decide which is best for you based on your condition and response to treatment.
Take Gabapin NT 100 Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not change the dose or stop taking it suddenly without medical advice. This medicine can cause drowsiness or dizziness, so avoid driving or operating heavy machinery after taking it.
Before starting this medicine, tell your doctor about all other medicines you are taking and any medical conditions you have, especially heart, liver, or kidney problems. This will help your doctor ensure the treatment is safe and effective for you.
