Directions for Use

Storage and disposal

Store Zyrcold tablet at room temperature, below 30 degrees Celsius, in a cool, dry place away from heat and moisture. Keep it in its original pack to protect it from light, and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date, and hand any unused medicine to a pharmacist for safe disposal.

Quick Tips

  • Drink extra fluids to help loosen the mucus and soothe your throat.

  • Stop it a few days before any allergy skin test, as it can affect the results.
  • See your doctor if your cough lasts more than 14 days or gets worse.

Dosage

Missed a Dose

If you missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.

How does this medicine work?

This medicine pairs two medicines that tackle different problems. Cetirizine calms the body's reaction to allergy triggers, easing sneezing, itching, a runny nose, and watery eyes. Ambroxol thins and loosens the sticky mucus in the airways, so it is easier to cough up and clear. Together they make breathing more comfortable during a chesty, allergic cold.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

Some medicines can change the way Zyrcold tablet works, and it can add to the effect of a few others. Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take. In particular, mention other allergy medicines, sleeping aids, muscle relaxants, and anything that makes you drowsy, as taking them together can increase sleepiness.
