How Does It Work?
Paracetamol produces relief by stopping production of certain hormones that are responsible for pain in the body. Mefenamic acid also acts by the same mechanism. These actions reduce pain as well as inflammation in the body and since fever is also a type of inflammation, it is reduced....
Directions for Use of Zydol P Ds Mango Flavour Bottle Of 60ml Suspension
- Shake the bottle before taking the medicine
- Follow directions given by the doctor regarding taking it with or without food
- Take only the amount prescribed by the doctor
- Use the spoon that is given with the pack
Interactions of Zydol P Ds Mango Flavour Bottle Of 60ml Suspension
Interactions with other medicines
- The anti-clotting effect of warfarin or other medicines may be increased if given with paracetamol-mefenamic acid combination and bleeding risk is higher
- The absorption of paracetamol can be affected by colestyramine, domperidone or metoclopramide
- Lithium toxicity can result if lithium is given with this suspension
- Antacids should not be given together
- Concomitant use with Aspirin or other NSAIDs can increase the risk of stomach bleeding or other gastric problems
- Medications that treat high blood pressure if given with Zydol-p ds can increase the risk of kidney damage
- Concomitant use with medicines that affect urine output can affect kidney function
- Antidepressants can increase damage to the liver by paracetamol
- The levels of paracetamol can be decreased by medicines taken to control convulsions or prevent pregnancy
- Taking it with digoxin can increase levels of mefenamic acid in the blood
- Pemetrexed given together can increase risk of bone marrow suppression in the body
- Cyclosporine or methotrexate toxicity is possible if given with this suspension

Overdose
