Uses of Zonad 50 MG

  • Zonad Tablet is used for the treatment of endometriosis – an illness where some of the tissues that line the womb are found elsewhere in the body.
  • It is also used to treat breast cysts (lumps) which may be painful, but not malignant.

Contraindications of Zonad 50 MG

  • If you are allergic to danazol or any of the other ingredients of Zonad Tablet.
  • If you are taking a cholesterol-lowering medicine called simvastatin. If you are not sure what this medicine is, please confirm with your doctor.
  • If you have a rare inherited illness called porphyria that affects your metabolism.
  • If you are pregnant, might become pregnant or think you may be pregnant.
  • If you are breastfeeding.
  • If you have kidney, liver or heart disease.
  • If you ever had blood clots (thrombosis).
  • If you have a type of cancer that is affected by hormones.
  • If you have unusual vaginal bleeding which has not been checked by a doctor.

Can I take Zonad 50mg Tablets during pregnancy?
Zonad Tablet is contraindicated for use in pregnancy. Women capable of becoming pregnant should be advised to use an effective, non-hormonal method of birth control. If you become pregnant during treatment, this medicine should be immediately stopped.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Zonad 50mg Tablets while breastfeeding?
Zonad Tablet is contraindicated for use in breastfeeding women.


Can I drive if I have consumed Zonad 50mg Tablets?
Zonad Tablet has no effect on the driving ability. However, if you experience any effects after taking this medicine that may affect your ability to drive safely, it is advised to avoid driving.


Can I consume alcohol with Zonad 50mg Tablets?
No, alcohol should not be consumed while you are taking Zonad Tablet because drinking alcohol while taking this medicine can make you feel sick or short of breath.

  • Take Zonad Tablet as a whole with sufficient water.

  • Do not consume more than the prescribed dose.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine on your own.

Interactions of Zonad 50 MG

Interactions with other medicines

  • Some medicines can affect the way Zonad Tablet works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
  • Inform your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
