Zedott 100 capsule contains racecadotril. It is a medicine used for the treatment of sudden diarrhoea which lasts for less than 2 weeks (acute diarrhoea). It acts on the gastrointestinal tract and red
uces the secretions. This results in controlling diarrhoea. This medicine is not meant to be used for diarrhoea associated with antibiotic use. Zedott 100 capsule should not be used for more than 7 days. If diarrhoea persists for more than 7 days, consult your doctor....

Can I take Zedott 100 capsule during pregnancy?
Pregnant women should not take this medicine as it is unsafe during pregnancy. Hence, it is recommended not to use the same unless prescribed by your doctor.

Avoid use of Zedott 100 capsule if you are breastfeeding as there is limited information is available on the safety of Zedott 100 capsule during breastfeeding.

How Does It Work?
Zedott 100 capsule decreases the excessive secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine in the lumen and thus helps in minimizing the number of motions and fluid loss through diarrhoea.
Directions for Use of Zedott 100mg Capsule
- Take Zedott 100 capsule as a whole with a sufficient amount of water preferably before the main meal.
- You should take this medicine for the dose and duration it is prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not take this medicine for more than 7 days.
Interactions of Zedott 100mg Capsule
Interactions with other medicines
- The concomitant use of Zedott 100 capsule and antihypertensive medicines like captopril, enalapril, lisinopril should be avoided as they can interfere with the activity of each other.
- Discuss with your doctor any other medicine, supplement or herbal preparation you are taking before starting the treatment with Zedott 100 capsule.

- Store at room temperature in a cool and dry place.
- Keep this medicine out of the sight of children and pets.
