How Does It Work?

Womastin Injection interacts with DNA (genetic material) and causes certain changes in the DNA. This results in problems in DNA synthesis leading to anti-cancer effects.

Interactions of Womastin 150 MG

Interactions with other medicines

  • Some medicines can affect the way Womastin Injection works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
  • Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
  • Particular care should be taken if you are taking medicines that can reduce the number of cells in your blood at the same time as Womastin Injection.
  • Some antibiotics called aminoglycosides, vancomycin, capreomycin and water tablets (diuretics), if taken at the same time as this medicine, may increase the risk of kidney or hearing problems.
  • Live or live-attenuated vaccines (for yellow fever vaccine) should not be taken at the same time as Womastin Injection.
  • Caution should be exercised when taking blood-thinning medicines like warfarin and other medicines which decrease the activity of the immune system (ciclosporin, tacrolimus and sirolimus).
  • Phenytoin and fosphenytoin (used to treat various types of convulsions and seizures) taken at the same time as this medicine may increase the risk of a seizure.
