Trikase 5 % Description

Trikase 5% Cream is a topical antiviral medication. Reducing the cold sores on the lips and face caused due to Herpes simplex virus is the main use of Trikase 5% Cream. Cold sores are the small painf

ul blisters that are most commonly present around the lips and rarely on the other areas of the face. During the active phase, cold sores can transmit the virus to other areas on the face or other people. This cream consists of Acyclovir as its main ingredients. The mode of action of Trikase 5% Cream is to slow down the growth of the virus and improve the healing of the cold sore blisters. Apply this cream to clean and dry skin after washing your hands. Try to avoid direct contact with this cream to the eye, nose, ears, and mouth. If this cream accidentally came in contact with these areas, rinse it off immediately with plenty of water. If you are using other topical creams in the same areas, inform your doctor. Try to follow the doctor’s directions for using the Trikase 5% Cream. The dosage and duration of this cream will be advised by the doctor. Occasionally the patient may experience itching, burning sensation, irritation, and swelling, at the site of application, along with other side effects of Trikase 5% Cream. Consult your doctor if they keep getting worse. Do not cover the site of application with a cloth or a bandage unless advised by the doctor.
