Directions for Use

Use each inhalation capsule only with the prescribed inhaler device. Do not swallow the capsule. Ask a healthcare professional to demonstrate the technique, keep the device dry and rinse your mouth when advised. Use a separate rescue inhaler for sudden symptoms if prescribed.

Storage and disposal

Store the capsules in the original blister pack, away from heat and moisture. Keep them out of reach of children. Do not use them after the expiry date. Dispose of used capsules and the inhaler according to pharmacist or local guidance.

Dosage

Overdose

Too much may cause tremor, fast heartbeat, chest discomfort, dry mouth, blurred vision or difficulty passing urine. If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Missed a Dose

If you missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.

How does this medicine work?

Formoterol relaxes airway muscles through a long-acting beta-2 action, while tiotropium blocks a different nerve signal that tightens the airways. Together they keep the airways more open. They do not provide immediate treatment for a sudden severe attack.

In particular, mention other inhaled anticholinergic or beta-agonist medicines, beta blockers, water tablets, xanthines, steroid medicines and medicines that affect heart rhythm.

Interactions with food items
