Taloprex Plus tablet is a prescription medication. Managing the symptoms of anxiety disorder, mood disorders, and comorbid depression are the most common uses of Taloprex Plus tablets. It is a combin
ation of two active components: Clonazepam and Escitalopram. Clonazepam is a tranquilliser (medicines that reduce anxiety and fear). Escitalopram is an antidepressant and helps stabilise mood. Mood disorders such as anxiety and depression affect how one feels and drastically reduce the quality of life. Taloprex Plus tablets reduce the excess activity of nerves in the brain and stabilising mood. The medicine also induces a calming effect and sedation. Drowsiness, tiredness, diarrhoea, stomach issues, and slow heart rate are side effects of Taloprex Plus tablets. Follow your doctor's direction for using Taloprex Plus Tablet carefully. - As per CDSCO, the Taloprex Plus tablet is used for the following conditions -
- In the treatment of the symptoms of comorbid depression (depression associated with other disorders)
- In the management of symptoms of anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and other mood disorders
Contraindications of Taloprex Plus 10mg Tablets
- If you have any allergic reaction to the components of Taloprex Plus tablets.
- If you have a history of alcohol addiction or drug/substance abuse, mental health disorder, depression, etc.
- If you are using other anti-anxiety or sedatives; they can interfere with Taloprex Plus tablets and cause adverse reactions.
- If you have acute-angle glaucoma (an eye condition that causes high fluid pressure inside the eye); Taloprex Plus tablets worsen the condition.
- If you have liver disease.
- If you have a seizure disorder and are on antiepileptic (anti-seizure) medication.

How Does It Work?
Taloprex Plus tablet has Clonazepam and Escitalopram as its active ingredients.
Clonazepam belongs to the class of benzodiazepine medicines. It functions by increasing the action of a chemical messenger in the brain known as GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid). This substance reduces the abnormal or excessive activity of nerve cells in the brain and is responsible for the sedation properties of the medicine. Taloprex Plus tablets do not change GABA levels in the brain.
Escitalopram raises serotonin levels in the brain by preventing its reuptake by nerve cells. Serotonin is a natural chemical messenger responsible for stabilising mood, causing happy thoughts, etc. It can also aid in other functions like sleeping, eating, and digestion....
Directions for Use of Taloprex Plus 10mg Tablets
- Take Taloprex Plus tablets exactly in the dose and duration prescribed by the doctor.
- Do not use more than the advised dosage of this medicine, even if you do not notice its effects.
- Take the Taloprex Plus tablet as a whole with a glass of water; do not break or chew it.
- Do not take Taloprex Plus tablets with other medications without informing your doctor.
- Don’t use these tablets if their packaging is damaged.

They inhibit serotonin metabolism and can result in serotonin levels that are high enough to cause Serotonin Syndrome, which can lead to life-thretening symptoms....
- Do not use other antidepressant medicines like Fluoxetine, Paroxetine, etc., with Taloprex Plus tablets. This combination can increase serotonin levels and cause serotonin toxicity, leading to severe side effects and even death....
- It is better not to take other medicines that cause drowsiness, such as antihistamines (cetrizine), cold and cough medicine, opiates or narcotic pain relievers (codeine, tramadol), muscle relaxants, etc., with Taloprex Plus tablets. These medicines can increase the side effects of Taloprex Plus tablets and cause extreme drowsiness....
- If you have bleeding issues or take blood thinners, use caution when taking Taloprex Plus tablets, as this medicine increases the risk of bleeding in such persons.
