- Depression
- Anxiety disorder
- Fibromyalgia (condition with widespread muscle and joint pain)
- Neuropathic pain
- Diabetic neuropathic pain
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to Duloxetine
- If you are taking medication for Glaucoma
- If you are taking medication, specifically monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors for depression.
- If you are undergoing the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease
- If you have a history of fits (seizure or epilepsy)
- If you have kidney or liver problems

- Do not break the tablet or chew it.
- Take the pill as a whole, with a glass of water.
- Do not take it with other medications without informing your doctor.

- Do not suddenly stop taking this medication, as it can lead to withdrawal effects.

Interactions with other medicines
- Tell your doctor about any medicine you are taking as there is a chance of drug interaction with the following medication-
- Monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors, such as Isocarboxazid, linezolid, can exaggerate side effects.
- Antidepressants such as Amitriptyline, Amoxapine, Clomipramine, Desipramine, Imipramine etc., can interfere with duloxetine and cause very high blood pressure.
- Diazepam, Chlorphenamine interaction can make you more sleepy.
- Warfarin, Ibuprofen interaction may lead to bruises or make you bleed easily.
