Medical Description

Ryzodeg Penfill 100IU injection contains insulin as its active ingredient. It is a combination of both long-acting and rapid-acting insulin that helps maintain blood sugar levels within a normal range. It is important to take the injection in the prescribed dosage. Missing a dose can lead to elevated blood sugar levels, potentially resulting in serious complications. Conversely, taking more than the recommended dose can cause low blood sugar levels.

To achieve the best results, you should regularly monitor your blood sugar levels, eat healthy meals, and follow a daily exercise routine. Before using Ryzodeg Penfill 100IU injection, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, as well as provide a detailed medical history.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Ryzodeg contains a rapid-acting insulin component that quickly controls the blood sugar spike that occurs right after you eat. Therefore, you should always take Ryzodeg immediately before or with your main meal or meals of the day. Never take this injection on an empty stomach or skip the accompanying meal, as doing so can trigger a sudden and severe drop in blood sugar.
No. Always remove and safely discard the needle immediately after every injection. Leaving the needle attached to the pen allows air bubbles to enter the insulin reservoir, causing the medication to leak out and altering the concentration of the remaining insulin. Furthermore, reusing needles increases your risk of painful injections, infections, and localized skin lumps. Always use a fresh, sterile needle for each dose.
No, Ryzodeg must be injected exclusively into the subcutaneous fat layer of your stomach, thighs, or upper arms. It should never be injected into a vein or a muscle. Injecting into a muscle causes the insulin to absorb far too rapidly, which significantly increases your risk of sudden and severe low blood sugar.
When traveling, keep your unopened Ryzodeg pens in a cooling gel pouch or insulated travel container to keep them between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius. Never place your insulin in checked airline baggage, as the cargo hold can freeze, which permanently destroys the insulin protein. Keep your currently in-use pen in your hand luggage at room temperature (below 30 degrees Celsius) and away from direct sunlight or hot car dashboards.
No, avoid stopping the insulin without speaking to a doctor. It may lead to high blood sugar levels and may worsen the disease condition and complications. In case of side effects or discomfort, consult a doctor. You may need a dose adjustment.
Reinjection at the same site may lead to a lump, local irritation, and itching. Avoid injecting at the same site or wait 1 day before injecting at a different site.
If unopened, Ryzodeg should be stored in a refrigerator between 2-8°C until the expiration date. After first use, Ryzodeg can be stored at room temperature (below 30°C) for a maximum of 4 weeks (28 days).
You should take Ryzodeg Penfill 100IU injection in the exact dose and duration as recommended by your doctor. If you feel the need to change your frequency of dosing, ask your doctor for advice. Do not change the dose or frequency of the medicine on your own.
