Mode of Action of Rxtor Gold 10mg Strip Of 10 Capsules
How Does It Work?
Aspirin and clopidogrel are antiplatelet agents; aspirin inhibits platelet cyclooxygenase by irreversible acetylation, preventing the formation of thromboxane, which stimulates platelet aggregation. In contrast, clopidogrel acts by inhibiting adenosine receptors which inhibit the early stage of platelet activation. Rosuvastatin is an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor that slows the production of cholesterol in the body, decreasing the amount of cholesterol buildup in the arteries....
Directions for Use of Rxtor Gold 10mg Strip Of 10 Capsules
- Take the medication for the duration and dose as prescribed by the doctor
- Do not chew or break the capsule in half
- Take it with or without food as advised by the doctor
- Swallow the capsule as a whole with a glass of water
Interactions of Rxtor Gold 10mg Strip Of 10 Capsules
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of methotrexate is contraindicated as it enhances the haematological toxicity of methotrexate due to decreased renal clearance
- Uricosuric agents should be avoided, as salicylates reverse the effects of probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, etc
- Concomitant use of antidiabetics is prohibited with salicylates as they may increase the hypoglycaemic effect of antidiabetics
- NSAIDs may decrease the antihypertensive effects of diuretics and antihypertensive agents and increase gastrointestinal blood loss
- The use of diuretics may increase the risk of acute renal failure
- Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) may affect platelet activation and increase the risk of bleeding
- Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors may result in severe acidosis; therefore, they should be avoided
- The risk of gastrointestinal ulceration and bleeding also increases when co-administered with aspirin
