Rosuvastatin can harm the fetus in pregnant women. Therefore, this medicine is not advised for pregnant women or to women who are planning to have a child.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Rosumac 40mg Tab while breastfeeding?
Rosuvastatin enters into breast milk and may cause harmful effect in infants. Hence, this medicine is not advised to nursing mothers.


Can I drive if I have consumed Rosumac 40mg Tab?
A patient can drive after taking rosuvastatin.


Can I consume alcohol with Rosumac 40mg Tab?
Consuming alcohol can harm the liver and muscles. Therefore, avoid alcohol during rosuvastatin treatment.

Other General Warnings

Rosumac 40mg Tab can interact with few other medications such as oral contraceptives, other cholesterol-lowering medicines, antivirals, antifungals, antibiotics, antacids (aluminium and magnesium hydroxide combination give after 2 hours of administration of rosuvastatin) and blood-thinning medication (warfarin).
